Last weekend we heard the readings for the Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time, in which a blind beggar cries out to Jesus, is brought before Him, and has his eyesight restored. In Deacon Fred's final homily before his retirement after 35 years of ministry, he spoke of physical and spiritual blindness, and of the beautiful desire to see the face of Jesus, first and foremost, in our lives.
