5th Grade Teacher


Saint Andrew Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and passionate full time 5th Grade Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. As a Catholic school committed to academic excellence and faith formation, we are looking for an educator who will inspire students to grow both intellectually and spiritually.


Responsibilities:

  • Teach 5th grade curriculum to assigned classroom
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that meet academic standards and promote critical thinking, integrating Catholic values into lessons.
  • Incorporate technology and hands-on learning experiences in the classroom.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through various evaluation methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and faith-based activities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education
  • Current State of Minnesota Teaching License (or willingness to obtain).
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
  • Experience teaching elementary school students, preferably in a Catholic school setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to differentiate instruction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Teach general music to PreK – Grade 8 students
  2. Teach beginner to intermediate level band lessons to Grade 4 - 8 students
  3. Prepare students to sing and/or accompany songs at Mass
  4. Plan and prepare students for 2-3 concerts during the academic year
  5. Develop engaging lesson plans that meet academic standards and promote critical thinking, integrating Catholic values into lessons.
  6. Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  7. Assess and monitor student progress through various evaluation methods.
  8. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.
  9. Participate in school events, professional development, and faith-based activities.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Music or related field
  2. Current State of Minnesota Teaching License (or willingness to obtain).

Tackle Box Workers Needed


Saint Andrew Catholic School’s childcare program, Tackle Box, provides before- and after-school care for enrolled students. Children are offered a variety of supervised activities including crafts, board games, free time, reading, study time and athletics. We are in need of people age 18 and older to work in our Tackle Box program. During the academic year, hours are 6:30-8:15 AM and/or 2:30-6:00 PM, with occasionally a “no school” day. Part time summer hours are between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM.
