PreK (3-Day) Teacher - Saint Andrew Catholic School (Elk River, MN)

Saint Andrew Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time 3-Day PreK Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, teaching 4-5 year olds, M, W, F.  The work hours are 7:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. with student contact time from 8:00 a.m. – 2:40 p.m. As a Catholic school committed to academic excellence and faith formation, we are looking for an educator who will inspire children to deepen their faith and grow academically. The candidate must be a practicing Catholic who supports student learning through developmentally appropriate educational activities and lessons, assessments and hands-on experiences. He or she will create an inviting and meaningful learning environment. The teacher will work in partnership with other staff, families, and students and will communicate effectively with these groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the 3-Day Pre-Kindergarten teacher, overseeing daily routines such as attendance and lesson plans
• Support the academic, social, and spiritual development of PreK students
• Communicate regularly with PreK families regarding student progress and needs
• Collaborate with other teachers for planning and curriculum alignment
• Help students transition between PreK and Kindergarten
• Develop engaging lesson plans that meet academic standards and promote critical thinking, integrating Catholic values into lessons
• Incorporate hands-on learning experiences in the classroom.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment
• Assess and monitor student progress through various evaluation methods
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success
• Participate in school events, professional development, and faith-based activities

Qualifications

You must be qualified to teach in an Early Childhood, Rule 3 Licensed Preschool setting. The requirements include:

• A license from the Minnesota Department of Education for Prekindergarten, or
• A license from the Minnesota Department of Education for elementary education with a Kindergarten endorsement or

Must meet the requirements of the Diocese of St. Cloud Safe Environment Training, Code of Conduct, and Background check before working with students.

Band Teacher (part-time) - Saint Andrew Catholic School (Elk River, MN)

Saint Andrew Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and passionate part time Band Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, teaching basic music theory and introducing students (Grades 4–8) to traditional band instruments.  The work schedule would be Wednesday and Friday mornings 7:45 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. with student contact time from 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., along with appropriate prep time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent field
• Current State of Minnesota Teaching License (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience teaching elementary or intermediate school students
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to differentiate instruction

School Administrative Assistant (part-time) - Saint Andrew Catholic School (Elk River, MN)

St. Andrew Catholic School (Elk River, MN) is seeking a caring, knowledgeable, and student-centered Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support students and staff in our school. The Administrative Assistant will work collaboratively with the principal, school secretary, classroom teachers, support staff and parents to provide a positive learning environment for students. 

Key Responsibilities

• Keeps hallway bulletin board and other school displays current and up to date.
• Assists in the cafeteria during breakfast and lunch.
• Collects funds and maintains records for student activities and fundraisers.
• Assists in preparing for special school events, projects, and activities.
• Serves as a backup for the School Secretary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Ability to utilize classroom technology, phones, email, Word and other common office applications
• Passion for helping students grow academically and personally
• Must be an active, practicing Catholic and in good standing with the church.
