Enjoy Advent and Christmas at Saint Andrew!

The weeks leading up to Christmas can be hectic, and our parish would like to help you prepare. We have opportunities to worship and receive the sacraments; to eat, serve and shop; and to enjoy the sights and sounds of the season. All of these events can be found on our online parish calendar, which appears on our homepage and under the News and Events tab, above.

Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 9-10: Quilts and Crafts Sale – Saint Andrew Quilters and Crafters will be selling their handiwork after all Masses in Room 3. This is a great place to do a little Christmas shopping on your way to the Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast (see below).

Sunday, Dec. 10: Breakfast with Santa – The local Knights of Columbus are hosting their next Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon in the Saint Andrew Catholic School cafeteria, along with a special guest: Santa Claus! Breakfast includes not only pancakes, but French toast, eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, milk, juice and coffee—all for a free-will donation. Bring the whole family!

Sunday, Dec. 10: Blood Drive – Give the gift of life this Advent: The Knights of Columbus are also hosting a blood drive in the Saint Andrew Catholic School gymnasium from 8 a.m. to noon. Walk-ins are welcome.

Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 16-17: Bake Sale – The local Council of Catholic Women are hosting a Holiday Bake Sale after all Masses the weekend of Dec. 16-17 in the gathering area of the church. If you would like to donate baked goods, please drop them off in the gathering area by noon on Saturday, Dec. 16. Please stop by and stock up on treats for the holiday!

Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 16-17: Quilts and Crafts Sale – Saint Andrew Quilters and Crafters will be selling their handiwork after all Masses in Rooms 1 and 2. This is your last chance to purchase Christmas gifts from our local quilters and crafters.

Tuesday, Dec. 19: Saint Andrew Catholic School Christmas Program – Ring in Christmas with our Saint Andrew Catholic School students at either 12:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy beautiful music, holiday cheer, and a coffee and cookie social afterward.

fm5okpwllmxm72ha9uzbubc5cxl.pngWe also have numerous opportunities for individual Confession during Advent—and since Christmas and the Feast of Mary Mother of God fall on Mondays, the Mass schedule is a little unusual. Please take a look at (and print!) our Advent and Christmas Confession and Mass schedule to find the times that work best for you.

All of these events can be found on our online Calendar, as well as on our parish Facebook page.

  • To get to the Calendar from our new homepage, simply scroll down to the listing halfway down the homepage on the right, or for a view of the whole month, click the News and Events tab, then select Calendar.
  • To “like” us on Facebook, scroll to the bottom of the homepage and click the Facebook icon (an F in a white box) under Connect With Us.

Our main Calendar displays all public events at Saint Andrew church and school. We also have a faith formation-specific calendar under the Faith Formation tab on the new homepage and a school calendar in the Current School Parents menu under the School tab. Bookmark them for easy access later!

Hi, Alicia! The Knights of Columbus and other volunteers generally decorate the church for holy days, usually during the day, which may make it a challenge for Nate to help. Diane asked that I pass your information on to her, and she will call you if and when they could use extra help. Thank you for asking and do watch the bulletin for each month's SAINTS volunteer projects! Jim Thorp

Hi! Wondering if you need volunteers to decorate the church for Christmas. Our son Nate is looking for some volunteer opportunities. Thanks! Alicia Gramins
