Ministry Opportunities

Session Facilitator/MC: This role is the leader of the large group session for adults, teens or elementary children. Materials will be provided by the Faith Formation staff to use for preparation and while leading.

Small Group Companion: These individuals are part of each small group in either the adult, teen/pre-teen sessions and help guide the small group discussion. They should be prepared to share first to start the conversation if needed.

Elementary Session Aide: This role assists the Elementary Session Facilitator with the Elementary at-church session for children Grades 1 - 4. 

Child Care: Lead or assist with toddler care  (children aged 1- 5 - includes children in Kindergarten) provided for participating parents during at-church sessions. 

Witness Talk: This role is filled by a regular Family Faith Formation participant who is willing to share their experience of encountering Christ to the large group.

Hospitality: Provide treats, snacks and/or a beverage for participants in the Family Faith Formation session. 

Session Setup/Takedown: Help with setup and takedown before and after Family Faith Formation sessions. Create a warm & welcoming environment for participants.

Prayer Intercessor: Commit to pray for our Family Faith Formation program and the participating families on a weekly basis. 

Foundation Team member: This role assists the faith formation staff in strategic planning, coordination and praying for the Family Faith Formation program. 

High School small group leader: This role serves as a catechist and small group leader for a high school small group (Grades 8, 9 or 10). The leader engages with youth and encourages them to discuss topics and materials that are prepared and provided by the Faith Formation staff.

Middle School small group leader: This role serves as a small group leader for a middle school small group (Grades 5, 6 or 7). The leader engages with youth, leads them in prayer and encourages them to discuss topics and materials that are prepared and provided by the Faith Formation staff.

Elementary catechist: This role serves as catechist for a elementary school children (Grades 1, 2, 3 or 4). The leader engages with children, teaches elementary level content, leads activities and leads them in prayer using materials that are prepared and provided by the Faith Formation staff.

Open Youth Room aide: Assist with Open Youth Room (held every Tuesday from 3:00 - 5:00 PM). Engage with youth and help supervise an assigned area.

Friday Night Live aide: Assist with FNL (held every third Fridays from 7:00 - 9:00 PM). Role will involve engaging with youth, supervising games, providing hospitatily and/or leading a small group in prayer as assigned by the Youth Minister. 

Prayer Blankets: As a family, make a tie blanket (max of 2 per family). These blankets are provided to those who recently have lost a loved one. The blanket represents your family's prayers and the prayers of the parish that cover the recipient in their time of grief. 

Liturgy and Music: We need liturgical ministers for our weekend and weekday liturgies. This includes Euchartistic Ministers, Lectors, Altar Servers, Greeters, Ushers, Musicians, Singers and much more. Outreach Ministries: Saint Andrew is actively engaged with many organizations in our parish and the surrounding community. Visit our Formation and Outreach webpage for more information regarding these opportunities. 

Grounds Landscaper/Gardener: We have a specific need for a couple of people to plant/tend the gardens outside the main church entrance (Door A).

Recess Playground Monitor: Monitor the school playground during recess.

Substitute Teacher: Saint Andrew Catholic School is currently in need

of short-call teacher substitutes in all grade levels (PreK-Gr.7). Here is
