All that we have—including our very lives—is a gift from God. God loves us and calls us to love our neighbor as ourselves. This is not only a command from God, but a human need, the deepest desire of our hearts: to love and be loved. At Saint Andrew, we have many opportunities to pour ourselves out in love by sharing our gifts with our parish and community.

Faith Formation Ministries

Are you interested in sharing the Catholic faith with children, youth or adults in the parish? Our Faith Formation programs are always seeking active disciples to be living witnesses, sharing their knowledge of the Church and personal relationship with Jesus with others as catechists, Confirmation sponsors, or RCIA sponsors. For more information, contact Faith Formation Director Keith Bistodeau at 763-441-1483 x307.

Leadership Ministries

Are you interested in helping to lead our parish in its mission to "go therefore and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19)? We have four primary leadership groups that require called and committed disciples to serve on behalf of our church and school: Finance Council, Parish Festival Committee, Pastoral Council, and School Advisory Committee. For information on the Finance Council, Parish Festival Committee or Pastoral Council, contact Parish Business Administrator Melissa Anderson at 763-441-1483 x310. For information on the School Advisory Committee, contact Susan Scipioni at 763-441-2216 x327.

Liturgical Ministries

Are you interested in supporting our worship of God in the Mass and the sacraments as an altar server, extraordinary minister of Holy Communion (eucharistic minister), greeter, lector (reader), sacristan or usher? Many share their gifts and serve our community in our liturgical ministries, in keeping with the command of Jesus: “Do this in memory of me" (Luke 22:19). For more information contact Director of Liturgy and Music Diane Pederson at 763-441-1483 x311.

Music Ministries

Music is a vital part of our liturgy, and we are always looking for singers, musicians, and sound technicians to help us worship the Lord in song. Our choral groups include the parish choir, which is open to all singers and instrumental musicians older than high-school age, men's and women's choirs, a youth choir for sixth- through 12th-graders, and a children's choir for second- through fifth-graders. We also have a funeral choir, which is available to sing at parish funerals and is open to anyone willing to be on call to rehearse and sing, usually in the afternoon, on relatively short notice. Finally, our sound technicians are trained adults with computer aptitude who set up, balance and monitor the sound system during Mass. For more information contact Director of Liturgy and Music Diane Pederson at 763-441-1483 x311.

Prayer Ministries

The Church of Saint Andrew is committed to Perpetual Adoration, which means that every hour of every day, committed parishioners pray silently before Jesus in the Holy Eucharist for the needs of our families, our parish and the world. In order to keep this parish commitment, we need committed hourly coordinators and adorers. You can choose what day of the week and hour of the day works best for you. If you would like to know more or can commit to an hour, contact Colleen Solors at 763-441-7179 or Eva Jahnke at 763-441-3102.

The Saint Andrew Men's Prayer Team is a group of Catholic men who desire to know the Lord more deeply through prayer and Christian example. The team meets at 7 p.m. the second Monday of each month, preceded by a Divine Mercy Chaplet in the church at 6:40 p.m. For more information, contact John Stewart at 612-770-2161.
