This weekend and next, December 8-9 and December 15-16, will be bustling and busy with pre-Christmas activities at Saint Andrew. In addition to our regular Mass and Confession times, you and your family and friends can enjoy the following events and opportunities.
December 8-9
- The Knights of Columbus (KC) Pancake Breakfast with Santa. On Sunday, December 9, from 9:00 AM to noon, the Knights of Columbus cordially invite you to a full breakfast of pancakes, French toast, eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, milk, juice and coffee. Then top it off with a visit with Santa. This will be a great chance for the kids to sit and get their pictures taken with Santa. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a great meal and fellowship along with Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick. Everyone is welcome. Free will offering accepted.
- The KC Blood Drive. The next Knights of Columbus Blood Drive will be Sunday, December 9, 9:00 AM-1:00 PM. All donors will be entered in a drawing for a vacation! Please register online if possible: Go to mbc.org/searchdrives and enter sponsor code 9823—or sign up in the Gathering Area or call Steve at 612-819-7810.
- The Saint Andrew Quilters and Crafters Craft Sale. The Saint Andrew Quilters and Crafters will be selling their goods on Saturday, December 8, after Mass and Sunday, December 9, 8:00 AM-noon, in Meeting Rooms 3. Fill your Christmas list with beautiful handmade items from local crafters!
- Family Adoration. Saint Andrew will offer family Adoration 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, December 9. Family Adoration will be held in the main church and is for people of all ages, from babies to adults. Adoration will not be as quiet as it is in the chapel, so patience is required. This is a perfect time to introduce your child to a prayer time they will never forget.
December 15-16
- Hospitality and Coffee Sales after Mass. The parish will provide hospitality and Saint Andrew Coffee Project will be selling coffee after Masses on December 15-16. Saint Andrew gourmet coffee is always fresh—directly purchased from a group of farmers in San Miguel Escobar, Guatemala. Purchasing our coffee not only benefits the families in Guatemala, but also helps provide tuition support for Catholic school families. Available in medium, dark or French roast; ground or whole bean. Regular: $13 per pound; decaf: $14 per pound.
- The North Star Boys Choir on Saturday evening. The North Star Boys’ Choir will be joining the music ministry for Mass on Saturday, December 15, at 5:00 PM. A short Christmas concert will follow Mass. Come hear this wonderful choir! For more information, visit northstarboyschoir.org.
- The Council of Catholic Women’s (CCW) Christmas Cookie Sale. The CCW will be having their annual Christmas Cookie Sale after Masses December 15-16 and are seeking donations of holiday baking! Please drop off on the morning of December 15 in the Gathering Area.
- The Saint Andrew Quilters and Crafters Craft Sale. The last Craft Sale of 2018 for the Saint Andrew Quilters and Crafters will be Saturday, December 15, after Mass and Sunday, December 16, 8:00 AM-noon, in Meeting Rooms 1 & 2. Get your last-minute Christmas shopping done; they have a lot of Christmas gift items available.
- REBOOT Live Ticket Sales. Great stocking stuffers! Saint Andrew is proud to co-sponsor REBOOT Live with Chris Stefanick Wednesday, April 17, 7:00-9:30 PM, at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael. Tickets are $22 and are on sale will be for sales after Masses on December 15 and 16. Registered Saint Andrew families with teens in grades 6-12 can get two tickets (one for a teen, one for a parent) for free!
