In the readings for last weekend, we learned of the Jewish precautions against leprosy and heard a Gospel account of Jesus curing a leper simply by touching him and saying: "I do will it. Be made clean." Both Fr. Newton and Fr. Mark remind us in their homilies that through the sacraments and our lives of faith, Jesus offers us spiritual, and at times even physical, healing. As we head into Lent, let us reflect on the areas in our lives in which we need healing and seek Jesus, especially through the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist.
