Readings and Homilies for November 10-11, 2018 (English and Español)

On November 10-11, we heard the readings for the Thirty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time, in which Jesus recognizes the generosity of the poor widow who gives what little money she has to the Temple. In Fr. Newton's homily, he reminds us that generosity is not the exclusive prerogative of the rich and is not measured in how much we give, but much it costs us. Fr. Mark tells us the readings are less about money and more about giving of ourselves to God and persevering in trust, even when it's difficult. "We're it in for the long haul," he says. "Our strength is the strength of God within us...don't settle for anything less than that!"
