Friends, in January, I had the wonderful opportunity of visiting the Holy Land with my brother seminarians. It was a great experience, and a trip I will never forget. For me, the most moving part of this experience was being able to follow the Lord’s footsteps in his final hours, from the Last Supper room to Calvary—the place of his crucifixion and death. Having reflected on my time there, the idea of offering some reflections about my travels to these holy sites kept coming up in prayer.
With that said, beginning on the First Sunday of Lent (Sunday, March 10), I will be offering a short reflection after the 10:30 AM Mass (starting at 11:45 AM, in English) and the 12:30 PM Spanish Mass (starting at 1:45 PM, in Spanish). This will take place every Sunday throughout the season of Lent. The purpose of these reflections is to walk with Jesus through his Passion, Death, and Resurrection, from the upper room to the empty tomb, in order to have a deeper understanding of his love for us.
Lent is a wonderful time to meditate on God’s immense love for us. I hope that you will consider joining me during this solemn season, as together we prepare for the joyful season of Easter. Please know of my prayers for you!

Amigos, en enero tuve la maravilloso oportunidad de visitar Tierra Santa con mis hermanos seminaristas. Fue una gran experiencia y una viaje que nunca olvidaré. Para mí la parte más conmovedora de esta experiencia fue poder seguir los pasos del Señor en sus últimas horas: desde la habitación de la última cena hasta Calvario, el lugar de su crucifixión y muerte. Habiendo reflexionado sobre mi tiempo en Tierra Santa, la idea de ofrecer algunas reflexiones sobre mis viajes a estos lugares sagrados seguía surgiendo en oración.
Dicho esto, comenzando el primer domingo de Cuaresma (domingo, 10 de marzo), ofreceré una breve reflexión después de la misa de 10:30am (comenzando a las 11:45am, en inglés) y despues de la misa de 12:30pm de español (comenzando a la 1:45pm, en español). Esto se llevará a cabo todos los domingos durante la temporada de Cuaresma. El propósito de estas reflexiones es caminar con Jesús a través de su Pasión, Muerte y Resurrección, desde la habitación superior hasta la tumba vacía, para tener una comprensión más profunda de su amor por nosotros.
La Cuaresma es un momento maravilloso para meditar en el inmenso amor de Dios por nosotros. Espero que consideren unírseme durante esta temporada solemne, ya que juntos nos preparemos para la feliz temporada de Pascua. Sepan de mis oraciones por ustedes.
