Faith Formation

Faith Formation

Faith formation at the Church of Saint Andrew is an ongoing program of Catholic education and sacramental preparation for children from pre-K through 11th grade. Children can prepare for and receive the sacraments of Reconciliation (Confession) and the Eucharist (Holy Communion) beginning in second grade. The sacrament of Confirmation is generally received in 11th grade, with preparation beginning in ninth and 10th grade.

Mission Statement

The Faith Formation program at the Church of Saint Andrew is developing a faith community rooted in evangelization, leadership development, pastoral care, prayer and worship, advocacy, justice and service, catechesis, and community life.  We strive to instill in our youth and families that they are a vibrant part of our faith community.  As stewards of God’s love we provide opportunities to deepen their faith and broaden their knowledge; thus empowering the youth of our parish to continue lifelong faith formation.

In addition to faith formation classes and parent led at-home sessions, the Saint Andrew youth ministry program offers many activities that encourage 6-12th grade students to:

  • Get involved in our parish and world wide community
  • Meet new people
  • Live as disciples of Jesus Christ
  • Strengthen their relationship with God

Our programs are fun and faith-enriching! Young people can participate in as many or as little activities as they are able. They are always welcome to bring friends. All are welcome!
