Readings and Homilies for the Feast of the Epiphany, Jan. 6-7, 2018 (English and Español)
This past weekend, we celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany, in which we commemorated the Three Magi coming to pay homage to the baby Jesus. Fr. Mark's homily reminded us that, like the Magi, we are descendants of immigrants and strangers in a new land, and that as Christians we are called to see ourselves in others: we want a better life for our family, and so do immigrants to our country; we are made in God's image, and so are they. In Fr. Newton's homily, he reminded us that, like the Magi, we are also descendants of Gentiles and converts to the faith, following the true star, the Word of God, and the constellation of saints, in hopes that we will also become stars that lead others to Jesus.
