ekj84qy4ru5u11wq3b2519jqqdl.jpgWelcome to The Net, our parish blog on the new Church of Saint Andrew website. We will use this space to share news, events, and information with the parish and community, as well as each weekend's readings and homilies, in case you miss them.

The name comes from the occupation of our patron, Saint Andrew, who was a Galilean fisherman and brought his brother Simon (Peter) to meet the Lord. More specifically, it recalls the words of Jesus, "Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men" (Matthew 4:18-22). It also calls to mind the internet as a powerful medium for communication, evangelization and outreach.

Finally, the name of this blog is also reviving a tradition: More than 40 years ago, our parish had a self-published newsletter called The Net, which shared news, events, prayers, traditions and reflections of our clergy and religious.
