If you are a fan of Vacation Bible School, get ready for the next level: This summer, we are bringing Totus Tuus (pronounced TOTE-us TOO-us) to Saint Andrew Catholic Church!
Totus Tuus—which means “Totally Yours”—is a weeklong summer program for students in grades 1-12, mixing skits and games; prayer and sacraments; faith, fellowship and fun. Totus Tuus is hosted and led by a team of trained college students from the diocese who have dedicated their summer to leading children and teens closer to Jesus through Mary and the Catholic Church. The program runs for a full week, with the younger students attending in the morning and early afternoon and a teen program for two hours in the evening:
When: June 24-29, 2018
Grades 1-6: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Grades 7-12: Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Where: Saint Andrew Catholic Church and School
The cost is $30 per student and includes a t-shirt ($90 family maximum). Students in the daytime session will bring their own peanut-free snacks and sack lunches.
We will need teen volunteers to help the Totus Tuus team with the morning program. Those teens will be asked to register for and attend the teen program, which begins Sunday evening. We could also use a few adult volunteers for the daytime and evening programs, as well as families to provide meals for the team and two host families: one for the two female Totus Tuus team members, and one for the two male team members.
