Our parish offers many wonderful ways to be "involved" and we hope you take advantage of some of them.  The $crip Committee invites you to use our certificates and in turn, help support specific parish needs.

What is $crip?

Scrip is simple gift certificates bought in bulk by St Andrew's at a discount (2-20%). St. Andrew's then sells the gift ($crip) certificates at full face value to parish members, friends, or anyone interested in supporting St. Andrew's parish community.  You, in turn, redeem the certificates for merchandise at full face value of the certificate.  The discount the merchant gave on the bulk purchase of the certificate becomes the profit for St. Andrew's.

Where can I buy $crip?

$crip certificates can be purchased before and after the weekend masses. It is also available during school hours (8:00 - 2:30) during the school year and at the Parish Office, Monday - Friday from 9:00 - 4:30.  You may fax your order in so it will be ready when you arrive.  The fax numbers are: St. Andrew's School:  763-441-2216, Parish Office:  763-441-1485.  If you don't have a form at home, you can download the current form now.  Please do not email orders.

Many of you ask whether you can charge your Scrip order.  Due to the expense of credit cards, we do not accept them for payment. Online orders can be paid with debit cards.

Can I pay my store charge card account with $crip?

Yes, Kohl's allows payment with $crip on their credit cards.  Payment must be made in person.

How to get started!

Everyone buys groceries.  Purchase a few dollars in $crip to see how easy it is.  Gas up your car by using $crip certificates.  Plan ahead - is there a birthday or wedding present you need to buy.  

Look at the possibilities!!!

St. Andrew has approximately 2100 households.  If 1000 households purchased $200 a month in $crip, even at the lowest percentage (2%), St. Andrew's would make a profit of $48,000 in one year.  The $crip program for the past few years generated approximately $12,000 a year.

Your participation in this program is a way to contribute to your parish community without any additional expense to your budget.

Time and Talent

If you are interested in helping with the Scrip program, there are opportunities year-round.  The time commitment varies and we are happy to explain the various duties in detail if you are interested.  Briefly, we need volunteers to coordinate the program; be weekend sellers at masses (we are always shorthanded here) and promote the program.
